Questions parents ask

If yours is not here, call or send us a message.

Does my child need a referral?

In Utah, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one. If it does, your pediatrician can send it, and our front desk can tell you before you book.

Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicaid?

We bill many kinds of plans, including most PPO plans, employer plans, Medicaid and CHIP. Your plan decides what it pays. Our front desk checks your child's benefits and calls you before the first visit.

What if we pay ourselves?

We give you a written estimate before the first visit, and you pay on the day of each visit. If your plan may reimburse you, we give you a detailed receipt to send in. Your plan decides whether it pays.

How long is a visit, and who treats my child?

A first visit is about an hour with a physical therapist who works with children. A parent stays in the room. Later visits are shorter, and the same therapist sees your child when we can.

How many visits will we need?

It depends on what the therapist finds, what you and your child want to do again, and how quickly skills take hold. Your therapist talks it through with you, and you can ask at any visit.

What should my child wear and bring?

Clothes to run and climb in, the shoes they wear most days, a water bottle and a snack. A favorite toy helps. Bring your plan card and any note from your pediatrician.

Will it hurt?

Sessions are built around play, and we work within what your child can tolerate. If a game is not working, we change the game.

Do you offer virtual visits?

Some follow-up visits can be done by video, in states where we are licensed. Your first visit is in person, so your therapist can see how your child moves.

What if my child was hurt in an accident or at a sport?

Get emergency care first. Tell us who your adjuster is, and your state decides who may direct your care. We explain how bills are handled before you start.

Do you take photos or video of my child?

Only with your written permission, and only for your child's care or for you to use at home. You can say no, and it changes nothing about the visit.

Still have a question?

Call or send a message. A person answers, and you do not need to explain more than you want to.
