What a visit looks like
What we do
Your therapist looks at how your child runs, jumps and lands, checks flexibility and strength around the sore spot, and builds a plan with games and drills that fit their sport and their week.
What decides how many visits
What your therapist finds, what the sport asks of your child, and how the body is changing as your child grows. Your therapist talks it through with you.
Who treats your child
A physical therapist who works with children. Your first visit is about an hour, and a parent stays in the room.
Meet the therapistsHow it is paid for
With your plan or by paying yourself. We tell you what to expect before your first visit.
How fees work
- Call 911 for trouble breathing, a seizure, a serious injury or a child who is hard to wake. Call your child's pediatrician first for a new limp, a fever with leg pain, or a skill your child had and lost.
Questions about this care
Will my child have to stop playing?
Your therapist and your child's doctor decide that together. Often the plan changes how much and how your child plays before it stops anything.
Do you work with coaches?
With your permission, we can share a short note with a coach or a school about what your child can do and what to watch for.
